TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

The knife cutting technology eliminates the cost of cutting dies while taking advantage of a direct connection to CAD systems to immediately begin production. To compete with die-cutting press productivity CM44 adopts a structure with two cutting heads and a conveyor belt which organizes the flow of operations through three separate areas: piece nesting, nested piece cutting, and cut piece removal.

CONTINUOUS NESTING

Without pause or change of workplace, the operator maintains full focus and concentration on nesting the pieces on the leather carried by the conveyor belt.

2 CUTTING HEADS

In a compact area served by a powerful local vacuum system, two cutting heads share the work for maximum optimization of operations. Tool change is viable thanks to the complete rotation of the cutting heads, which feature an oscillating knife, marking pen, 4 cutting-dies and punch revolver located in a convenient and visible frontal position.

INDEPENDENT REMOVAL

The rear table collects large amounts of cut leather enabling the removal of cut leather without constant attention.

WORK AREA
On a single work area, bright and ergonomic, piece shapes are positioned and projected by a laser beam that is always sharp on any type or color of leather.  With the coordination of the conveyor belt, skins as wide as 1,5m and unlimited length can be fed, positioned and cut in sequence under full control of the operator.

SYNTHETIC MATERIALS

For synthetic materials, in one or more layers, the automatic nesting function can perform fast piece positioning. Therefore, the cutting heads are well exploited and the operator, freed from nesting operations, can fully focus on the collection of the cut pieces.

LINK TO CAD
The direct transfer of patterns from CALIGOLA or other CAD systems (in DXF or HPGL exchange format) allows the user to start production immediately, communicating by means of any data support, local area network (LAN), or internet.

KNIFE CUTTING FOR LARGE SKINS AND WIDE MATERIALS

NESTING-CUTTING AREA

WIDE SKINS AND LARGE MATERIALS

ADVANCED SOFTWARE

TECNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

The structure of the Comelz CM machines with conveyor belt and two cutting heads guarantees high productivity due to its simultaneous nesting, cutting and removing capability.

In CM55, the continuity between nesting and cutting makes processing of large skins and large pieces easier.

TELESCOPIC HEADS

On CM55, two telescopic heads with extra arm extension operate on a wide and deep area, shared with the nesting. This unique solution allows full visibility and control of the entire work area without interfering with the shapes displayed by the two laser projectors.

NESTING-CUTTING AREA

This single nesting-cutting area, measuring 2 x 1.5 m, overcomes the limitations of conveyor belt systems with consecutive and separated nesting areas, creating the conditions for a real continuous nesting for pieces of any size.

WIDE SKINS AND LARGE MATERIALS

Skins and materials of unlimited length are processed without interruptions using interactive or automatic nesting, while side pockets allow to cut even skins over 2 m wide.

ADVANCED SOFTWARE

The control software provides sophisticated functions which optimize speed and quality of the processing and also includes a practical editor for CAD patterns, even in DXF format.

CM44S

KNIFE CUTTING FOR INSOLES AND SOLES

CONVEYOR BELT

2 INDEPENDENT CUTTING HEADS

UNIVERSAL AUTOMATIC LOADER

AUTOMATIC AND MANUAL NESTING

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

CM44S is a high productivity system. Without cutting dies it can cut insoles, heel seats, soles, toe puffs, counters on cellulose material, cellolose material with reinforced strip (and/or foam and/or textile), fiber-board, leather, neolite, regenerated leather, salpa, thermoplastic, etc. CM44 has two cutting heads with oscillating knife and a conveyor belt.

CONVEYOR BELT

The conveyor belt allows for the parallel execution of automatic material loading, piece cutting, and piece recollecting phases. The cutting heads can work without interruptions in a highly productive cycle.

2 INDEPENDENT CUTTING HEADS

Fast and robust, the cutting heads have an oscillating knife and a marking pen. They work independently from each other on an area 1500mm wide and unlimited depth, optimizing the cutting speed and the material consumption.

UNIVERSAL AUTOMATIC LOADER

The loader is equipped with multiple clamping devices (18 needles and 18 suction cups) that are individually software activated, a motorized sheet centering system, and a sheet movement system controlled by 5 brushless motors.

It can load every sheet of material used in the insole or sole production and it is compatible with roll feeding.

AUTOMATIC AND MANUAL NESTING

Patterns imported from CALIGOLA or even from other CAD systems (in dxf exchange format) are automatically nested. It is also possible to perform a manual nesting using a bright laser projector (to nest irregularly shaped materials like scraps of sheets or leather).

P55

PUNCH CUTTING FOR PATTERNS AND INSOLES

INDEPENDENT SOFTWARE

GREAT VARIETY OF MATERIALS

MULTI-TOOL HEAD WITH FAST CHANGE SYSTEM

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

P55 exploits the strength of punch cutting through an exclusive bridge structure with independent and synchronized mobile carriages. This original solution eliminates length limitations of the cutting area and allows a continuous and productive work cycle: no cuts to remove waste material, piece removal by fall and with the possibility to cut sheets with unlimited length or in rolls.

P55 is therefore an “automatic” punching machine that eliminates dead time and does not require constant presence of the operator to remove pieces and waste or for frequent loading of the material.

INDEPENDENT SOFTWARE
The machine software GPWin imports pattern data (in DXF or CMZ format), handling work orders and nesting optimization independently of the CAD.

GREAT VARIETY OF MATERIALS

Because of its versatility and productivity, P55 is suitable for various contexts, from series development for pattern making to samples and small-medium production of insoles. P55 cuts in single or multiple layers a great variety of materials including cardboard, fibreboard, various plastic materials and all rigid materials for insoles.

MULTI-TOOL HEAD WITH FAST CHANGE SYSTEM
The oscillating units of punch and micro punch (optional, for the smallest details) are manufactured with special high-resistance and light materials. They have a fast and easily accessible tool change system, an opening for materials up to 8 mm thick and a pen for texts and marks.
