Comelz is today recognized worldwide for its ability to innovate and rethink the way of cutting and shaping leather and fabrics.

It supplies systems and cutting islands with high technological content, flexible, with the highest levels of productivity, suitable for any type of processing, in any part of the world.

It designs and produces software, mechanics, electronics and engines in-house: hence the possibility of customizing every element of its machines. In 2016, Comelz doubled its production capacity, through the creation of a unit entirely dedicated to mechanical production.

A recognized success

Comelz was placed, unique in its sector, among the 30 best performing Italian companies (RCS survey - 2019) in the period 2003 - 2008, among a sample of 14,000 Italian companies. It obtained the "Company to watch" recognition (Centro studi Cerved, a leading company in Italy in the analysis of credit risk) for having distinguished itself from its competitors in its reference market (2015 and 2016).

The global perspective

The internationalization process of Comelz has led to the creation of branches in Europe, India, China, Vietnam, Colombia and Brazil and the creation of local partners in more than 30 countries.

A STORY OF INNOVATION

Comelz was one of the forefathers of a generation of Italian companies that knew how to interpret the needs of the national footwear and leather goods market, which was booming at the time.

From those experiences the mechanical-footwear sector of Vigevano was born, which immediately established itself as an international excellence.

At the end of the ’60, Comelz established itself on the market for its highly innovative products. It confirms itself among the most significant subjects in the sector, assuming a leading role also in the associative sphere.

At the end of the ’80, Comelz interprets a new industrial season based on the diffusion of CAD systems and numerical control systems: among the very first companies in the sector, it refounds its identity on the strong integration of mechanical, electronic and software technologies.
